Compassion With Self...
Connection With Others

open ocean with pale lavender sunset.jpg

Hi, I'm Alex (she/her). Thanks for visiting my website!

I've been a student and practitioner of counseling, human services, and talk therapy for over a decade. My passion is continuously ignited by witnessing the simple yet radical transformations in the folx I've worked with, and as a client of therapy for over fifteen years.

Mindfulness, humor, and witnessed human expression are radical acts of love. I aim to provide a client-centered and comforting therapeutic relationship where this can be possible for all.

I also like to collaborate with clients and try theoretical approaches such as Positive Psychology, Expressive Arts Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Internal Family Systems Informed Therapy to access their inner wisdom and understand new perspectives on experiences and relationships. Drawing upon my background as a yoga teacher and care manager, I also like to identify self-care tools and resources to support clients between sessions.

I specialize in supporting humans aged 13-113 navigate the complexities of life transitions, grief, anxiety and depression, hopelessness, and caring for others (and the world) while caring for self.

About Me

I studied Psychology and Fine Art at the University of San Francisco and earned my Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies with a specialization in Expressive Arts Therapy.

I am a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Certified Care Manager (CMC), and Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT).

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in curiosity. I believe healing can happen when we have space to slow down, make meaning of our experiences, and reconnect with ourselves in honest and caring ways. I draw from talk therapy, creativity, mindfulness, and practical tools that support reflection, resilience, and change.

Over the years, I have also contributed to meaningful projects, including art programming to combat social isolation in older adults with dementia, a software program designed to share emotional support with coworkers, classmates, and teammates, and a Narrative Therapy framework for a national mental health crisis line.

Outside of the therapy room, I feel most restored by time near the water, crafting, sharing meals with loved ones, and spending time with my scrappy emotional support dog, Leeda.

Fees and Sliding Scale Support

My rate is $150 for every 50-minute session.

Though Full Circle Therapy Collective, I work with Partnership Health Plan of Sonoma County, but do not accept other insurance at this time.

Most clients begin therapy with weekly sessions and may transition to biweekly sessions after some time.

I do not offer couples or family counseling at this time, but am happy to refer to a provider who can meet that need.

I am also able to offer a few clients a lower rate per hour to ensure therapy is financially sustainable. If interested in receiving this support, please mention this in our initial consultation call, and I can provide more details.
